The desk, not the lobby

The balance is not in kroner, so it moves overnight. A transfer is final once the chain confirms it, so there is no bank to raise a dispute with. And a network fee sits on the route, charged by the chain rather than by the desk.

Bitcoin appears in every opened desk and therefore separates none of them.

USDT, USDC and DAI track the dollar instead of floating freely. In a desk that means a balance sits still between two evenings — the only way to hold money in a crypto casino without also holding a position in the market.

None of the twelve states in advance how many confirmations it waits for. The figure usually appears only once a transfer is under way, which is why no waiting time is printed anywhere on this site.

A withdrawal runs the same route backwards: the desk sends a crypto value to an address you supply, and converting back into a national currency happens at a service outside the desk.
